Grant applications – at EU level and beyond – are formally demanding, complex and highly competitive. Success requires a clear case for impact, coherent partnerships and language that speaks to both specialists and non-specialists.
Some organizations do not just apply for funding — they also distribute it. A fund allows an organization to channel resources to local partners or projects through an open application process, rather than implementing everything directly. This approach surfaces ideas that wouldn’t otherwise get support, builds ownership among the people closest to the work, and allows funding to respond to real needs as they emerge.
But a fund is only as good as its design. Clear eligibility criteria, fair selection processes, practical application procedures and honest communication with applicants are what make the difference between a fund that works and one that creates more problems than it solves.
What RADI Offers
RADI brings insight and experience from both sides. We have helped organizations apply for grants and have designed funding programmes. This means that we know how to build strong applications and how to run funding programmes efficiently and fairly. Our team has hands-on experience in project development, grant assessment, and fund management, alongside deep knowledge of capacity development, organizational development and policy-oriented cooperation.
We work in multiple languages, with sensitivity to context, drafting content that speaks clearly to different target groups. We offer structured processes, realistic timelines and clear roles. We listen, assess needs and translate complex content into clear, workable proposals and processes.
Working With Us
Applications: We provide support from initial concept to finished application – including developing your rationale and case for impact, workplan and budget, partner and risk management. Depending on your needs, we can provide critical feedback on your draft, co-author your application or manage the complete application process, ensuring the final submission is linguistically polished and formally compliant.
Funds: We develop criteria, procedures and templates, advise on outreach strategy and communication with applicants, facilitate selection processes and set up monitoring and feedback mechanisms (for example through evaluations). If needed, we can take on day-to-day operational management – including tendering, applicant support, and committee coordination – or advise on specific stages of the process.
