How RADI Implements Digital Collaboration

We at RADI Consulting care about well-designed collaboration (online or in person) and about knowledge management systems people can actually use.

I have worked on digital projects for many years: from websites and podcasts to wikis, apps and social media strategies. Over time, I have come to see my role as a kind of information manager – communicating with stakeholders, understanding their needs, looking at everything from a user’s point of view. This helped me turning content that maybe was a bit all over the place into something people can actually absorb, navigate and use.

In many international cooperation projects, valuable knowledge is created every day. For example in workshops, desk research, study visits, evaluations, working groups and informal exchanges. But too often, this knowledge remains scattered across reports, e-mails, websites or platforms that only a few people have access to. Existing knowledge and practical experience should be made accessible so recommendations can be implemented without starting from scratch.

An example from our work: We just finished a first version of QI-Connect, a wiki for PTB International Cooperation. We supported the overall project coordination, we designed and facilitated focus group interviews, acted as a bridge to the technical implementation, helped map existing knowledge and information needs, and display all of this in a beautiful and clear way. And now we continue to co-manage the wiki’s ongoing operation. QI-Connect serves as a shared knowledge hub and single source of truth for staff and external colleagues.

So, for us at RADI Consulting, digital collaboration is not primarily about tools. It is about making knowledge accessible, reducing fragmentation of information and helping people collaborate across organizational boundaries. Sometimes that means a wiki. Sometimes a website with a clear content structure. Sometimes a learning hub, a shared workspace or a better social media strategy. What matters is simple: people should know where to find information, how to contribute, and why it is worth coming back.
